ISAIC Among Core Partners in $480 Million, 10-Year FutureTEX Initiative to Strengthen U.S. Defense Textile Manufacturing
ISAIC is honored to be a core partner in FutureTEX, a 10-year Department of War initiative focused on modernizing textile manufacturing in the United States to support the defense industry.
The initiative brings together industry, government, universities, and nonprofits to advance textile manufacturing technologies for military and domestic applications. The FutureTEX award includes $36 million in its first year, with a ceiling of $480 million over the next decade. The initiative will also champion workforce development and the modernization of facilities and equipment to strengthen U.S. competitiveness.
FutureTEX aims to help American manufacturing capitalize on digital infrastructure and emerging technologies, making the domestic supply network more robust for the defense industrial base.
We’re in great company. Led by NC State, FutureTEX brings together core partners including Drexel University, Gaston College, Georgia Tech, UMass Lowell, and ISAIC.
We’re honored to be part of this initiative, which directly furthers our mission of transforming the textile and manufacturing industry.
