People Power ISAIC. We believe that sustainability starts with people. We’re breaking the apparel manufacturing mold with skills training and apprenticeships for high potential careers and are committed to re-shoring, workforce development, diversity, inclusivity and sustainability. ISAIC is a place where lives are changed daily, while we also change the apparel industry and the planet. The home of a non-profit national institute for apparel brands looking to do better. We call it progressive good.
We're proud to be developing a workforce that is valued and providing the training needed for career paths for the future of the industry. That means training the next generation of talent- a diverse group that includes underserved Detroiters, established sewers, designers, emerging entrepreneurs and more - with a program that will equip them with knowledge in both traditional sewing skills as well as emerging technologies. Together, we're rebuilding the industry while changing lives.
Funds raised through tax-deductible donations allow ISAIC to:
offer Fundamentals of Industrial Sewing and Production (FISP) classes - the foundation of ISAIC’s skills development - at our factory
pay apprentices for on-the-job training that will lead toward a journey card and many career opportunities
continue our commitment to advanced training for our entire team so that all have the opportunity for proficiency in emerging technologies for the future of work
